History

EKJU story started back in 1992 right after Baltic countries regained their independence from the Soviet Union. Love for the Wood, new West European market opportunities and the entrepreneurial spirit of the four founders Egons, Klauss, Juris and Uldis,
hence the company name EKJU, were the main drivers to start a journey which allowed the company to become as strong as it is today.

Company’s focus - garden furniture and wood parts for industrial applications. With continued investments in wood processing machinery and digitalisation, EKJU owners constantly prioritise the company’s  ability to meet demanding productivity and quality targets.

EKJU remains privately owned company. In 2021 the new generation of company management became EKJU owners and actively continue the company development. Over the years more and more customers appreciated EKJU product and service quality. Some of them continue to be our partners since the very beginning of EKJU and we are very proud of our long-term relations.

Gradually company grew to over 20M EUR annual turnover company with more than 150 employees and exports to most of Europe and several overseas markets.  Today EKJU presents one of the strongest Nordic wood processing companies with ambition to grow into number 1.
