Nosaukumā Thermo-D, burts “D” apzīmē izturību (no angļu valodas Durability). Termokoksne tiek ražota, izmantojot tikai un vienīgi dabiskās metodes, karstumu un tvaiku. Termiski modificējot koksni tiek uzlaboti koksnes tehniskie parametri un termokoksne nav toksiska, ir dimensionāli stabila, izturīga pret pūšanu un no virsmas iztvaicēti sveķi.
